Trueshot Aura rank 5 gives 50 ranged attack power. Rank 4 gives 75.
In build 70245 the top rank of Trueshot Aura is weaker than the rank before it, and the aura no longer helps melee. Blizzard's Sep 30 Hunter deep dive calls it otherwise unchanged.

Trueshot Aura is the rank a level 60 Hunter trains last. In build 70245 it raises ranged attack power by 50, and rank 4 raises it by 75. Game files · build 70245
| Rank | Level | Forever | Classic |
|---|---|---|---|
| 25 (talent) | 30 ranged | new | |
| 32 | 40 ranged | new | |
| 40 | 50 ranged | 50 melee and ranged | |
| 50 | 75 ranged | 75 melee and ranged | |
| 60 | 50 ranged | 100 melee and ranged |
Rank 5 lost half its value, 100 down to 50, while ranks 3 and 4 kept theirs. The ranks before it climb 30, 40, 50, 75, so 50 at the top reads like a slip in the data. Until it changes, cast rank 4 at 60. Game files · build 70245
Ranged only
Classic’s Trueshot Aura raised attack power, which counts for melee and ranged. Forever’s raises ranged attack power only. Warriors, Rogues and Paladins in the party get nothing from it in melee. Game files · build 70245
What the deep dive says
Blizzard’s Sep 30 post says Trueshot Aura moved from row 7 to row 4, calls it the “21-point gold medal talent”, and names the new low ranks as the only other change. Blizzard · Sep 30
- Row 4 and the two new low ranks (levels 25 and 32) match the files.
- Row 4 opens after 15 points in Marksmanship, which makes it the 16-point talent. The 21-point row is row 5.
- The values changed: ranged only, and the top rank halved.
You can check the rows in the Hunter talent calculator.
