Terms of use
Last updated October 10, 2026.
1. Who we are
Bind on Forever (bindonforever.com) is a sole proprietorship based in Missouri, USA, trading under that name (“we”, “us”). These terms cover this website, the BoF Guide addon, and the guide packs we sell. By using the site or buying a pack, you agree to them. Our refund policy and privacy policy are part of them.
2. A fan project, not Blizzard
Bind on Forever is made by fans. It isn’t made, endorsed or approved by Blizzard Entertainment. World of Warcraft and Warcraft are trademarks of Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. The game’s names, data and art that appear here come from the game and belong to Blizzard; we use them as a fan site, under Blizzard’s rules for fan sites.
3. Using the site
The database, articles, maps and tools are free, and you don’t need an account. Link to any page you like; you don’t need to ask. Quote short parts with a link back to the page.
Please don’t:
- copy the site or large parts of its data in bulk (scraping or mirroring), or republish our writing as your own
- send automated traffic that slows the site down for everyone else
- try to get into parts of the site that aren’t public, such as the tester area without its password, or get around the site’s security
- use the site to break the law or Blizzard’s terms
Our writing, design, code, maps and art are ours, apart from what belongs to Blizzard (section 2) and anything we credit to someone else.
4. Accurate, as far as we can make it
Every fact on the site says where it came from and how sure we are of it, and we fix what we get wrong as soon as we know. Still, the game changes, beta builds aren’t the final game, and no page is guaranteed to be complete, current or right. Check what matters to you in the game itself.
The guide warns you before the pulls that can kill you. It can’t play for you. We aren’t responsible for anything lost in the game, Hardcore characters included.
5. The BoF Guide addon
The addon is free to download, and so is everything in it that isn’t a paid pack: the routes from level 1 to 30 for every starting area on both sides, the dungeon guides up to level 30, and the Mining, Herbalism, Skinning and Fishing guides. You may install it and use it on your own computers.
The addon runs inside World of Warcraft under Blizzard’s rules for add-ons. Blizzard can change the game, or what add-ons are allowed to do, at any time, and that can change how the guide works. We update the guide to keep up.
6. Buying a guide pack
What you buy. A pack (Alliance, Horde, or Both factions) unlocks the paid routes and guides in the addon. After checkout you get an import string, on the page and by email. It’s bound to the BattleTag you give at checkout and works on every character on that Battle.net account.
Your license. The pack is for your own personal, non-commercial use, on that account. Please don’t share, sell or publish your import string, or try to unbind it from your BattleTag. If your BattleTag changes, write to us and we send you a new string.
Updates come with it. A pack includes its updates at no extra cost. The routes and dungeon guides above level 30 are released zone by zone after launch, as each zone is played and checked on the live game, and a pack bought before then gets every zone as it’s released.
Paddle runs checkout. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle is the Merchant of Record for all our orders: it takes the payment, handles sales tax and VAT, issues the invoice, and processes refunds, under Paddle’s buyer terms. Prices are shown at checkout with tax included.
Refunds. Ask within 30 days of your purchase and you get your money back in full, for any reason. How to ask is in the refund policy. A refunded pack’s import string may stop working in later versions of the guide.
If it doesn’t work. If a pack doesn’t do what we describe, tell us and we’ll fix it or refund it. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer law where you live.
Who can buy. You need to be old enough to make a purchase where you live, or to have a parent’s or guardian’s permission, and to use a payment method you’re allowed to use.
7. Tester builds
The test versions of the addon at bindonforever.com/beta are unfinished software for people helping us test it. They’re offered as they are, can break, and can change or stop at any time. Please keep the tester password to yourself.
8. What you send us
Feedback, corrections and screenshots stay yours. By sending them, you let us use them to run and improve the site and the guide, without owing you anything for it. Only send what you have the right to share.
9. Creators and affiliates
The creator and affiliate program has its own terms, at /partners/terms.
10. Other sites
We link to sources, creators, Blizzard and others. We aren’t responsible for what’s on those sites.
11. Our responsibility
The site and the free addon are provided as they are, without promises beyond the ones in these terms. As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you for anything to do with the site, the addon or a pack is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before your claim or $50. None of this limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else the law doesn’t allow to be limited.
12. Changes
We may update these terms; the date at the top says when. A change never takes away something you’ve already bought.
13. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, USA, and disputes go to the state or federal courts in Missouri. If you’re a consumer and the law where you live lets you bring a claim there, you still can.
