Feint and Fade shed five times their Classic threat. Blizzard announced double.

Blizzard's deep dives say Feint's and Fade's threat reduction doubled. In build 70291 every rank went up five times, so rank 5 Feint drops 4,000 threat where double would be 1,600. Disengage and Cower doubled as announced.

Blizzard’s Oct 7 Rogue deep dive says Feint’s threat reduction doubled. The Sep 30 Priest deep dive says the same about Fade. Blizzard · Oct 7

In build 70291 every rank of both does five times what it did in Classic. The tooltips kept their Classic wording (“a large amount”), so the change only shows in the numbers under them. Game files · build 70291

Feint

Rank Level Classic Doubled Build 70291
Rank 1 16 150 300 750
Rank 2 28 240 480 1,200
Rank 3 40 390 780 1,950
Rank 4 52 600 1,200 3,000
Rank 5 60 800 1,600 4,000

Each rank also grows for ten levels after you learn it, by 5 threat per level (Classic: 1). Rank 1 reaches 800 at level 26. The cost and cooldown didn’t move, 20 Energy every 10 sec. Game files · build 70291

Fade

Rank Level Classic Doubled Build 70291
Rank 1 8 55 110 275
Rank 2 20 155 310 775
Rank 3 30 285 570 1,425
Rank 4 40 440 880 2,200
Rank 5 50 620 1,240 3,100
Rank 6 60 820 1,640 4,100

Fade uses the same temporary threat aura as in Classic, so the threat comes back after its 10 sec. The cooldown is 30 sec. Game files · build 70291

Disengage and Cower doubled

The same deep dives call two more threat drops doubled, and those two are exact. Hunter Disengage went from 405 to 810 at rank 3, and Druid Cower from 600 to 1,200. Game files · build 70291

Feint, Fade and Cower have carried their new values in every beta build since Sep 16 (build 69876). Disengage doubled later, in build 70170 on Oct 1. Blizzard’s Oct 8 notes say its doubling “was missed” until then, on the server side. Blizzard · Oct 8

Torment, with no note at all

The Voidwalker’s Torment gives about 1.5 times its Classic threat on every rank: rank 1 went from 45 to 70, rank 6 from 395 to 600. No Blizzard post mentions it. Game files · build 70291

Which number the server uses

Threat is worked out on Blizzard’s servers. The server normally reads the same value the client carries, but Disengage showed the two can differ for a while. If the server uses these files, Feint and Fade are two and a half times as strong as announced. If it applies the doubling Blizzard described, the files are off and a later build should bring them down.
