Innervate in WoW Forever: unchanged from Classic, with a 6 min cooldown, and it now replaces Skyborne's Read Leyline

Innervate in WoW Forever is the Druid's level 40 spell: 400% more Mana regeneration, all of it while casting, for 20 sec, on a 6 min cooldown. The numbers match Classic; what's new is how it meets Skyborne's Read Leyline.

Innervate in WoW Forever works the same as in Classic. It’s the Druid’s level 40 spell: the target gets 400% more Mana regeneration, all of it continues while casting, and it lasts 20 sec. The numbers in build 70707 match the Classic Era client, and no beta build changed them.

What Innervate does in WoW Forever

Innervate
Learned Level 40, Druid trainer
Effect 400% more Mana regeneration, 100% of it while casting
Duration 20 sec
Cooldown 6 min
Cost 5% of base mana
Range 30 yd

An increase of 400% means five times your normal regeneration, and that normal rate comes mostly from Spirit, so it does the most for someone with plenty of it. It also removes the casting penalty for those 20 sec, which is why it’s strongest on a healer who can’t stop casting. You can use it on yourself or on another player.

Innervate and Read Leyline

High Order Skyborne, the Alliance side, have Read Leyline, a smaller buff to Health and Mana regeneration, and they can be Druids. Blizzard’s Oct 26 notes say it “cannot be used while Innervate is active”, and that Innervate replaces it as the stronger effect.

Regeneration Lasts Cooldown
Innervate 400% Mana, 100% while casting 20 sec 6 min
Read Leyline 50% Health and Mana 15 sec 2 min
Read Leyline while Attuned 100% Health and Mana 15 sec 2 min

So don’t plan to press both: use Read Leyline in the gaps between Innervates. Attuned comes from using Read Leyline at a ley line, lasts an hour and persists through death. The rest is in every Skyborne racial change.

Feral Druids want Innervate too

Forever gives Feral a reason to spend mana: Shifting Power turns mana into 40 Energy and replaces powershifting. On Blizzard’s podcast, a developer said it “makes you want to use Innervate on yourself”.

The talent Reflection keeps up to 50% of your regeneration going while casting all the time; Innervate takes that to 100% for its 20 sec. Plan your points in the WoW Forever talent calculator.

The rest of the class is on the Druid page, and the spells you learn on the way to 40 are in the WoW Forever leveling guide.
