WoW Forever adds an RP-PvP ruleset at launch, after Blizzard said no on the podcast
Blizzard will add a Roleplay-PvP ruleset to WoW Forever for launch on November 4, a week after its PvP podcast said none was planned. It's working to let players reserve names there from October 27. What that means for picking a ruleset.

WoW Forever will have a Roleplay-PvP ruleset at launch on November 4. Aggrend posted it on October 22: after the PvP podcast, the team “carefully examined what it would take to add it to WoW Forever and decided to go for it.”
What Blizzard said a week ago
On the October 15 podcast, Blizzard explained why it had no RP-PvP ruleset planned: past RP-PvP servers turned into plain PvP servers, and a second roleplay ruleset would split a small community. Reserving names on RP-PvP
Blizzard is “working hard” to let you pick the Roleplay-PvP ruleset and reserve names there when name reservation opens on Tuesday, October 27. That’s a goal, not a promise yet. If it isn’t ready on the first day, reserve on another ruleset only if you’re sure: characters can’t move between rulesets later.

What rulesets does WoW Forever have?
At launch: Normal, PvP, Roleplaying and Roleplay-PvP. Hardcore comes sometime after launch. Each ruleset is its own world, and characters can't move between them, except a Hardcore character that dies.
Is the RP-PvP ruleset one faction per account like PvP?
Blizzard hasn't said. On the PvP ruleset each account plays one faction; we'll update this when Blizzard says how RP-PvP works.
