How to do it

The quest log Steal the Defias Tower Key, break into the Defias Tower and uncover the contents of the Duskwood Chest. Take whatever information you find back to Mathias Shaw in Stormwind. Read Kearnen's Journal to gain insight about the tower.

1.

   Pick it up

Agent Kearnen at The Dust Plains (68.5, 70.1)

This chain puts Touch of Zanzil on you. Anti-Venom cures it, and so can a Paladin or Druid.

Anti-Venom needs First Aid 80 and one Small Venom Sac, from Duskwood's Venom Web and Pygmy Venom Web Spiders.

You need Mathias and the Defias done first.

2. 1

The objectives · The Dust Plains (69.6, 73.1)

   • Defias Tower Key from Malformed Defias Drone (23-24)

   Targets: Malformed Defias Drone

Pick Pocket the Malformed Defias Drone for the key. It starts at the door, then walks laps round the tower.

The Malformed Defias Drone hits very hard. If your Stealth breaks next to it, Sprint away.

With a dagger, open on each Sentry or Patroller with Ambush. Clearing them is slower than sneaking, and safer.

The chest is one floor below the top, on a bookshelf. Climb the chair, then the lamp. Drop Stealth to open it.

Clear the Sentries on the chest's floor first. After you loot the journal you can't Stealth for a while.

Mobs on the floor above can hit you through the floor. Check what's overhead before you pull.

Drones, the Malformed one too, can be waiting at the door on your way out. Keep Sprint ready.

3.

   Hand it in

Master Mathias Shaw in Stormwind City (78.3, 70.7)

Master Mathias Shaw is upstairs in the SI:7 building.
