What creators found, checked

From beta videos by bigger WoW creators. Each line sums up what the creator said at that moment of the video, and the badge says how it holds up against the game files.

Partly Xaryu: Forever has a surplus of leveling quests, so you choose zones (e.g. Westfall or Redridge at 18) instead of needing nearly every quest as in Classic Era.
The files The client has 1,804 quest IDs that are not in Classic Era, and the official post promises 'more than a thousand new quests'. The zone choice at 18 is advice.

Partly Staff of Westfall now carries +48 healing (healing items also add damage) plus movement speed. Emberstone Staff is the better DPS caster staff at 20.
The files Movement speed confirmed (1292011: 2% in Elwynn/Westfall/Redridge/Deadmines). The +48 healing can't be read: the stat slots show +5 Int +6 Spi; caster-weapon spell power is not encoded in the item's stat slots (ItemSparse / hotfix-cache StatModifier columns), so it can't be read from client data. Emberstone Staff 5201 exists (blue, req 17); the 'better DPS staff' comparison is opinion.

Not in the files Staff of Westfall shows about 50 healing power at its level, which Xaryu raised with Blizzard as power creep. Blizzard's answer, as he relays it: power was moved out of caster spells and into caster weapons, so caster weapon upgrades feel as big as melee ones. It is not extra power.
The files Staff of Westfall's stat slots (hotfix cache, build 70009) only hold +5 Int and +6 Spi; caster-weapon spell power is not encoded in the item's stat slots (ItemSparse / hotfix-cache StatModifier columns), so it can't be read from client data. Blizzard's rationale came from a private conversation.
