WoW Forever build 70450 gives Arcane Wrath a 6-second cooldown and fixes Amplify Curse
WoW Forever beta build 70450 came without patch notes. Its server hotfixes give Arcane Wrath a 6 sec cooldown, let Frost Blast trigger Missile Barrage, fix Amplify Curse and make Blood Craze threat-free. New mounts and pets too.
WoW Forever beta build 70450 went up on the evening of Oct 16, hours after 70425, and Blizzard posted no patch notes with it. The Development Notes were edited that afternoon, but only for formatting. The client files add collectibles and nothing else. The class changes all come from the hotfixes the server sends on top of the files, which we read from the game’s cache after logging in on 70450.
Build 70450 class changes
Mage: Arcane Wrath has a 6 sec cooldown. Arcane Wrath is Forever’s new Arcane Mage talent spell, a 3.5 sec cast that hits harder the more maximum Mana you have. All four ranks share the new cooldown. Before this hotfix a Mage could cast it back to back; now each cast is followed by a few seconds of other spells (Frostbolt, Fireball, Arcane Missiles) before it’s ready again.
Mage: Frost Blast can trigger Missile Barrage. The talent’s list reads Arcane Blast at full chance, then Arcane Wrath, Fireball, Frostbolt, Frost Blast and Frostfire Bolt at half. Arcane Missiles hits can’t trigger it; the server had already dropped them earlier that day (build 70425).
Warlock: Amplify Curse reaches all three curses again. In build 70425’s files it no longer touched Curse of Exhaustion, though its tooltip said it did. The server fixes that, and each curse gets its own boost.
- Curse of Weakness: +50%, as before.
- Bane of Agony: +50%, through a new effect on every rank. The debuff shows the boosted total.
- Curse of Exhaustion: the slow goes from 30% to 50% (Amplify Curse adds 20 points to it).
The three curses also send their real values to the debuff tooltip, so an amplified curse shows its boosted number on the target. Try an amplified Curse of Exhaustion in game before you build a kiting plan around it.
Warrior: Blood Craze no longer causes threat. Its healing after a critical hit or a big hit used to add threat like any other heal. The server flags it as threat-free.
New mounts, pets and outfits in build 70450
New collectibles. The files give no source for them yet, so we can’t say how you get them:
- Mounts: Verdant Sea Turtle, Crimson Rooster and Spectral Wolf Pack.
- Pets: Blossoming Ancient, Gill’el and Pinky.
- A toy: Adventurer’s Tent.
- Two outfits: the Gilded Blademaster’s Armor (with a greatsword and a banner) and the Stillwater Fisher Attire.
- Also the Cloak of the Veiled Paws and the Rugged Totemic Backpack.
Everything here is beta data from build 70450 and can change before launch. The full list of changed tables is on the build’s change page.
More on each class: Mage, Warlock and Warrior. The build before this one, with Blizzard’s notes checked line by line: build 70425.
Questions
Does Arcane Wrath have a cooldown in WoW Forever?
Yes, since the server hotfixes that came with beta build 70450 on Oct 16, 2026: all four ranks of Arcane Wrath share a 6 second cooldown. Before that it had none.
Does Amplify Curse work on Curse of Exhaustion in WoW Forever?
Yes again, since build 70450's server hotfixes. An amplified Curse of Exhaustion slows by 50% instead of 30%. Curse of Weakness and Bane of Agony get 50% more effect.
Were there patch notes for WoW Forever build 70450?
No. Blizzard posted no notes with build 70450. The class changes come from the server's hotfixes, which we read from the game's cache, and the client files only add collectibles.
