BoF Guide 0.9.80: WoW Forever Leveling Addon in 6 Languages

Version 0.9.80 of the BoF Guide, Bind on Forever’s free WoW Forever in-game leveling guide, is out on CurseForge and Wago, and as a direct download below. It’s a polish pass: every window, menu, setting and line was checked.

No restart needed. This version adds no new files, so a reload picks it up.

The same file as on CurseForge and Wago.

Unzip it into the Interface\AddOns folder of your WoW Forever game (on the beta:World of Warcraft\_classic_beta_\Interface\AddOns), so the guide sits at AddOns\BoFGuide. Restart the game, then type /bofg. When a new version comes out, download it again and replace the folder; your settings stay. More on installing addons.

The leveling guide in your language

The BoF Guide speaks English, German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, French and Korean. In 0.9.80 the counts read right in each of them (“2 Stufen”, not “2 Stufes”), the last English lines in the translations are gone, and Korean picks the right particle after a name.

Fixes that keep you on the road

Skipped a step by mistake? The seal’s menu now has “Bring back the skipped step”.
Marking a quest done that isn’t finished yet skips it and its hand-in, so the guide no longer sends you to hand in a quest the game won’t take.
Bought the full guide at level 30? It starts on its own route for levels 30 to 60 right away, not on the free leg you were on.
Inside a dungeon, “Back to leveling” and picking another guide from the menu now work.
Westfall’s Deadmines chain follows the game’s order: Sprite Jumpsprocket’s dynamite and detonator errands in Stormwind now come after Moonbrook’s Explosive Consultation, and My First Real Potion follows the Alchemy Set for Alchemists. Both orders come from fresh quest data this week.

A tidier window

Every pop-up window closes with Escape, and the welcome window has a close button.
Resizing the window during a fight waits until the fight ends.
A “Help us” answer you started before a fight is still there when the window opens after it.
The settings page is ordered by topic, with automation on it too: your route, automation, warnings, the window, the arrow, the panels, then sizes.
The seal’s menu is grouped: guides, this step, options, tools, then the full guide.
Clearer words everywhere: one name for each thing (“Hand in” for every hand-in, “Other starting zones” for following another start’s road), skill numbers that say “skill”, and levels like “Reach level 7, 20% of the way to 8”.

Small fixes

The drowning warning keeps its sound when you turn off the pop-up sound, the travel card shows where and how far, the Walk on Air bar wears the guide’s look, dungeon guides are listed by level, and the slash commands (/bofg arrow, size, hc, items, targets, waypoint) say what they’re set to.
