BoF Guide 0.9.76: level with friends on any start's road in the WoW Forever in-game leveling guide

Version 0.9.76 of the BoF Guide, Bind on Forever’s free WoW Forever in-game leveling guide, is out on CurseForge and Wago, and as a direct download below. Its main change came from a player’s report: you can now level with friends of another race.

Level with friends: follow another start’s road

A player wrote in (report FB-030, from the German site) after taking a Dwarf to Goldshire to level with friends. The guide only offered the Dwarf road through Dun Morogh, and picking a Human was the only way to get the Elwynn route.

In 0.9.76 the guide’s menu has Leveling routes, then Another start’s road. Click the seal at the top of the guide window to open the menu. It lists every start of your faction, leg by leg, so a Dwarf can follow Northshire and Elwynn Forest with Human friends, and an Orc can join a Tauren in Mulgore. Each leg also shows its levels, so the two Wetlands legs no longer look the same.

The arrow points to your body

While you’re a ghost, the arrow points to your body, so a long corpse run in a zone you don’t know yet is no longer guesswork. This was report FB-029.

Fixes from your reports

• Grelin Whitebeard’s Journal: the arrow now leads into the troll cave by its way in, instead of straight through the hill to Grik’nir the Cold (FB-027).
• A hand-in spot that could point to the wrong place after you arrived is fixed (FB-028).
• Picking a language in a fight no longer gets blocked by the game. The interface reloads as soon as the fight ends.

Every report gets a code, and its page shows when it’s fixed. Players who left an email address heard back today, in the language they wrote in. To send one, use the feedback page.

Every WoW Forever dungeon guide reworked

The free dungeon guides cover every dungeon up to level 30. Inside an instance the dungeon’s guide takes over and ticks each boss off as you kill it. In 0.9.76:

• Quests with objectives outside the entrance are done on the way in: the mine before the Deadmines, the caves round Wailing Caverns, the sapphires outside Blackfathom Deeps.
• Each Scarlet Monastery wing does its own part of the quests they share.
• Quests that only open after a hand-in outside come as a second run.
• After the run, hand-ins go nearest first.
• Every dungeon above 30 has new boss notes.
• A warning at the door of 22 dungeons: the WoW Forever client gives them a tuning that makes enemies deal 20% more melee and spell damage than in Classic, with the same health. Blizzard’s notes don’t mention it. The guide reads it from the game’s files and says so on the way in.

Every start, read card by card

The routes got a full read, start by start:

• shorter walks and fewer trips back;
• danger warnings on roads that had none;
• the group quests Gar’im, Fangore and Chol’aruk are now optional;
• the guide no longer sends you to grind elites.

For Skyborne, Read Leyline is named as in the game, and the guide says it lasts 30 seconds away from a leyline. Walk on Air’s cooldown is 90 seconds, down from 120 in build 70425.

The free profession guides now plan cheaper paths with what vendors really sell, and each rank names where its trainer is. Which professions to take for leveling is on WoW Forever professions for leveling.

In six languages

All of it is in English, German, Spanish, Portuguese, French and Korean, with the game’s own place names in each (Brachland, les Tarides, Los Baldíos). The window’s bronze frame is now even on all four sides.

Can I level with friends of another race in WoW Forever with the BoF Guide?

Yes, since BoF Guide 0.9.76. Open the guide's menu from the seal at the top of the guide window, choose Leveling routes, then Another start's road. It lists every start of your faction, so a Dwarf can follow the Human road through Northshire and Elwynn Forest with Human friends.

Does the BoF Guide point to my corpse when I die?
