Class deep dives: Hunter and Druid
145 notes, each checked against the game files of build 1.60.1.70245. The note is Blizzard's wording; "The files" is what the client data shows. Read the original post.
Baseline Abilities
- Matches the files
Aimed Shot is now granted as a baseline ability to all Hunters at level 20.
The files Aimed Shot is a Hunter class spell with 6 ranks from level 20 (rank 1, spell 19434) to 60, and the 70245 Marksmanship tree has no Aimed Shot node. In Classic it was a row 3 Marksmanship talent.
- Matches the files
Arcane Shot no longer shares a cooldown with Aimed Shot.
The files Classic put Aimed Shot and Arcane Shot in the same cooldown category (2). In 70245 Arcane Shot uses category 1173, shared with Summon Hawk, while Aimed Shot stays in category 2 (SpellCategories).
- Matches the files
Disengage: Threat reduction effect doubled.
The files Disengage's threat reduction effect value doubled on every rank: 140, 280 and 405 in Classic, 280, 560 and 810 in 70245. Rank 3's build history shows the change in 70170.
- Matches the files
Multi-Shot now shares a cooldown with Aimed Shot.
The files Multi-Shot moved from its own 10 sec cooldown category (85) in Classic into category 2 with Aimed Shot, on a 6 sec cooldown, and its tooltip says it shares its cooldown with Aimed Shot.
- Matches the files
Aspect of the Beast now also grants melee Attack Power.
The files Aspect of the Beast gained a melee Attack Power effect (aura 99): +50 at rank 1 (13161) up to +110 at rank 4 (1299447). In Classic it only made you untrackable.
- Matches the files
Traps are now useable in combat, but their cooldown has increased to 30 seconds.
The files Every trap rank lost Classic's out-of-combat flag and the tooltip line 'Traps can only be placed when out of combat'. The cooldown on Freezing, Immolation, Frost and Explosive Trap went from 15 sec to 30 sec (SpellCooldowns).
- Matches the files
Frost-based and Fire-based traps now have separate cooldowns.
The files Classic put all four traps in one cooldown category (411). In 70245 Freezing and Frost Trap share category 2183 and Immolation and Explosive Trap keep 411, and the tooltips allow one Frost and one Fire trap at a time.
- Matches the files
Scorpid Sting now reduces the target’s chance to hit by 2% instead of reducing the target’s Strength and Agility.
The files Scorpid Sting's effect changed from -20 Strength and Agility (aura 29) in Classic to -2% chance to hit (aura 54) for 20 sec (tooltip and effect value).
Pets
- Not in the files
Pets now get increased stats based on their Hunter’s gear.
The files Pet stats are computed by the server. The Hunter Pet Scaling aura (415429) sits on every pet skill line in both the Classic Era and Forever clients with all values at 0, so the gear-to-pet numbers can't be read.
- Not in the files
Pets can no longer receive player buffs that increase their stats.
The files Mark of the Wild, Power Word: Fortitude, Arcane Intellect and Blessing of Kings carry no new pet restriction in 70245 compared with Classic Era, so the server enforces this rule.
- Matches the files
Foxes added as new pet family with a new ability.
The files Fox is creature family 319 in 70245 and doesn't exist in the Classic Era client. Its pet skill line has Bite, Dash and the Fox-only Trickster's Dance.
- Matches the files
Trickster’s Dance: Increases a pet’s dodge chance and attack speed for 12 seconds.
The files Trickster's Dance (1310612) gives the pet +50% dodge (aura 49) and 30% less time between attacks (aura 319) for 12 sec, on a 3 min cooldown (tooltip and effect values).
- Partly
Every pet family can now learn either Bite or Claw, sometimes both.
The files Every Hunter pet family's skill line in 70245, Fox included, has Bite, Claw or both. That isn't new, since the Classic Era skill lines already gave every family Bite or Claw.
- Matches the files
Every pet family can now learn either Dive or Dash. Each pet family now has one ability completely unique to that family:
The files Every family in the article has Dash or Dive on its 70245 skill line; Spider, Bear, Crocolisk, Crab, Gorilla, Raptor, Scorpid and Turtle had neither in Classic Era. Each family also has one ability no other family has (listed below); the one family with neither Dash nor Dive is Core Hound, a Season of Discovery leftover the article doesn't list.
- Matches the files
Bat Sonic Blast: Damage and spellcasting slow on target.
The files Sonic Blast is on the Bat skill line only: rank 5 deals 77 to 91 Nature damage and makes spells take 60% longer to cast for 30 sec (tooltip; aura 65 at -60). Classic bats had Screech, shared with owls and carrion birds.
- Matches the files
Bear Swipe: Damaging attack that hits 3 targets.
The files Swipe (1264494 to 1264502) is on the Bear skill line only and hits 3 targets (3 chain targets); rank 5 deals 20 to 22 damage on a 5 sec cooldown.
- Matches the files

The files Creature family 26 is named Owl in Classic Era and Bird of Prey in 70245. Its Mine! rank 5 (1265058) deals 41 to 47 damage and disarms for 4 sec (tooltip; aura 67), 1 min cooldown.
- Matches the files
Boar Charge: Charge to and immobilize target and gain Attack Power on next pet attack.

- Partly
Carrion Bird Demoralizing Screech: Damage nearby enemies and reduce their melee Attack Power.
The files Demoralizing Screech (24579) lowers the melee Attack Power of all enemies in melee range by 204 at level 60, but its 24 to 42 damage hits one target: the damage effect targets a single enemy and only the Attack Power effect is an area effect.
- Matches the files
Cat Prowl: Stealth and increase damage of next attack from Stealth.

- Matches the files
Spider Web: Immobilize target and damage over time.
The files Web rank 5 (1265883) immobilizes (aura 26) and deals 52 Nature damage over 4 sec, 40 sec cooldown. Classic spiders had no family ability.

The files Furious Howl raises the melee Attack Power of party members within 15 yards for 1 min (tooltip; aura 99), 30 sec cooldown.
Beast Mastery
- Matches the files
Deadly Aspects: (Formerly Improved Aspect of the Hawk.) This talent now also has a chance for melee attacks to grant increased attack speed while Aspect of the Beast is active. This supports more melee-oriented builds we will see in Survival.
The files Deadly Aspects (19552, Improved Aspect of the Hawk in Classic) has a new second effect: with Aspect of the Beast, melee auto attacks get a 2/4/6/8/10% chance of +30% melee attack speed for 12 sec. The Hawk part is 2-10% (Classic 1-5%).
- Matches the files
Endurance Training: The old talent Thick Hide was merged with this one, so the talent now grants your pet Health and Armor.
The files Endurance Training (19583) gives pets 3/6/9/12/15% Health and Armor (two effects on the same curve), and Thick Hide is gone from the Hunter tree. At 5/5 that is 15% pet armor, where Classic's separate Thick Hide gave 30%.
- Matches the files
Focused Fire: This new talent increases all damage you and your pet deal while your pet is active.
The files Focused Fire (1223755), Beast Mastery row 2, raises all damage you and your pet deal by 1/2% while the pet is active (tooltip).
- Partly
Aspect of the Monkey: Now grants twice as much Dodge, and your pet gains half the benefit of your Aspect of the Monkey.
The files The talent Improved Aspect of the Monkey doubled per point, 1% to 2% dodge, and the pet now gets 50% of the aspect (tooltip). Its maximum only rose from 5% (5 ranks) to 6% (3 ranks), and Aspect of the Monkey itself is 8% dodge in both clients.
- Matches the files

The files Pathfinding (19559) is in Beast Mastery row 2 in 70245 (talent tree position) and was in row 3 in Classic Era.
- Matches the files
Unleashed Fury: Benefit to pet damage decreased slightly, but now also benefits new Hawk summons.
The files Unleashed Fury (19616) gives pets and hawks 3/6/9/12/15% damage in 70245; Classic gave pets 4/8/12/16/20% (tooltip and talent curve).
- Matches the files
Improved Mend Pet: Now also decreases the Mana cost of Mend Pet.
The files Improved Mend Pet (19572) has a new second effect that cuts Mend Pet's mana cost by 10/20%; the 15/50% cleanse chance is unchanged from Classic.
- Matches the files
Ferocity: Critical strike bonuses to pets decreased, but now also benefits Hawk summons.
The files Hunter Ferocity (19598) gives pets and hawks 2/4/6/8/10% crit in 70245; Classic gave pets 3/6/9/12/15% (tooltip and talent curve).
- Matches the files
Summon Hawk: (New 16-point gold medal talent.) Deals instant damage and summons a Hawk to attack the Hunter’s current target for 18 sec. Hunter’s can have up to 2 Hawks active at one time. Cooldown shared with Arcane Shot.
The files Summon Hawk (1293241) sits in Beast Mastery row 4, so it is the 16th point. It deals 32 plus 5% of Ranged Attack Power, the hawk attacks for 18 sec, 2 can be out, and it shares cooldown category 1173 (6 sec) with Arcane Shot.
- Matches the files
Intimidation: Now requires Bestial Swiftness as a pre-requisite. Now also grants your pet 100% increased critical strike chance on its next attack.
The files Intimidation (19577) requires Bestial Swiftness in the 70245 tree; Classic had no prerequisite. A new second effect gives the pet's next attack +100% crit chance (tooltip).
- Matches the files
Bestial Discipline: Now also grants the Hunter Mana regeneration from Spirit while casting spells (or spending Mana).
The files Bestial Discipline (19590) has a new effect that lets 25/50% of mana regeneration continue while casting (aura 134); the pet Focus regen part is 10/20% as in Classic.
Marksmanship
- Matches the files
Hawk Eye: Moved from row 3 up to row 1.
The files Hawk Eye (19498) is Marksmanship row 1 in 70245 and was row 3 in Classic Era, still 2/4/6 yards (talent tree position and tooltip).
- Matches the files
Lethal Attacks: Formerly Lethal Shots. Moved from row 2 up to row 1. Now grants increased critical strike chance to all attacks.
The files Lethal Attacks (19426, Lethal Shots in Classic) moved from row 2 to row 1, and its aura changed from ranged weapon crit (aura 52) to crit with all attacks (aura 290), 1-5%.
- Matches the files
Improved Stings: Formerly Improved Serpent Sting. Moved from row 4 up to row 2. Larger increase to Serpent Sting damage, and now also shortens the cooldown of Viper Sting and increases the duration of Scorpid Sting.
The files Improved Stings (1310661) is in Marksmanship row 2; Classic's Improved Serpent Sting was row 4. It gives +6/13/20% Serpent Sting damage (Classic 2-10%), -2/4/6 sec on Viper Sting's cooldown and +15/30/45 sec on Scorpid Sting (tooltip and talent curves).
- Matches the files
Efficiency: Moved to row 2 down from row 1. Grants a larger Mana discount that now applies to Stings and melee abilities, as well as Shots.
The files Efficiency (19416) moved from row 1 to row 2 and cuts the mana cost of Shots, Stings and melee abilities by 3/6/9/12/15%; Classic covered Shots and Stings at 2-10%.
- Matches the files
Careful Aim: (New talent.) Increases melee and ranged Attack power by 20/40/60/80/100% of the Hunter’s Intellect.
The files Careful Aim (1223984), Marksmanship row 2, has two effects that each turn 20/40/60/80/100% of Intellect (stat 3) into attack power; the tooltip says Attack Power without naming melee or ranged.
- Matches the files
Rapid Killing: (New talent.) Reduces cooldown on Rapid Fire and grants Rapid Killing when you kill an enemy or it dies while afflicted by your Serpent Sting. Rapid Killing increases the damage of your next Shot.
The files Rapid Killing (415405), Marksmanship row 3, takes 1/2 min off Rapid Fire's cooldown and, after a kill or a death under your Serpent Sting, adds 10/20% to the next Shot within 20 sec (tooltip).
- Matches the files
Improved Arcane Shot: now reduces the cooldown of Arcane Shot by up to an extra 0.5 seconds.
The files Improved Arcane Shot (19454) cuts 0.3 to 1.5 sec in 70245 against 0.2 to 1.0 sec in Classic, so 0.5 sec more at 5/5 (effect value -1500, Classic -1000).
- Matches the files
Lone Wolf: (New 11-point gold medal talent.) Grants the Hunter 20% increased damage with all attacks while the Hunter has no active pet.
The files Lone Wolf (415370) is a 1-point talent in Marksmanship row 3, the 11th point, and gives +20% damage with all attacks while no pet is out (tooltip). The Season of Discovery rune with this ID gave 25%.
- Partly
Trueshot Aura: Moved from row 7 up to row 4. Now the 21-point gold medal talent. New lower-level ranks added, but otherwise unchanged.
The files The move and the new ranks match: Trueshot Aura is Marksmanship row 4 (Classic row 7), with new ranks at levels 25 and 32. But row 4 makes it the 16-point talent, and it isn't otherwise unchanged: it raises Ranged Attack Power only (Classic raised melee and ranged), and rank 5 (20906) shows 50, below rank 4's 75 (Classic top rank 100).
- Matches the files
Mortal Shots: Now has pre-requisite of Careful Aim.
The files Mortal Shots (19485) requires Careful Aim in the 70245 tree; in Classic Era it required Lethal Shots (talent prerequisite).
- Matches the files
Rapid Recuperation: (New talent.) Prerequisite of Rapid Killing. Now grants Mana regeneration from Spirit while casting after hitting a target with Serpent Sting, and even more during Rapid Killing.
The files Rapid Recuperation (1223987), Marksmanship row 5, requires Rapid Killing. Serpent Sting hits grant 25/50% and consuming Rapid Killing 50/100% of mana regeneration while casting for 15 sec (tooltip).
- Matches the files
Barrage: Damage bonus reduced, but now also applies to Aimed Shot, as well as Multi-Shot and Volley.
The files Barrage (19461) adds 3/7/10% to Multi-Shot, Aimed Shot and Volley in 70245; Classic added 5/10/15% to Multi-Shot and Volley (tooltip and talent curve).
- Matches the files
Sniper Shot: New talent in 31-point gold medal slot. Pre-requisite of Trueshot Aura. Grants a new Shot with a 4 second cast time and 15 second cooldown that deals even more damage than Aimed Shot. Sniper Shot has a base range of 45 yards and increases the range of your next 3 Shots by 10 yards.
The files Sniper Shot (1310687) is Marksmanship row 7 and requires Trueshot Aura: 4 sec cast, 15 sec cooldown, 45 yd range (35 yd until build 70170) and +10 yd to the next 3 Shots for 10 sec. It adds 160 damage at level 40 and 295 at 58, against Aimed Shot's 89 at 44 and 166 at 60.
Survival
- Matches the files
Improved Tracking: This new talent combines the Monster Slaying and Humanoid Slaying talents into a new improved talent that causes the Hunter to deal increased damage to any creature type the Hunter is currently tracking.
The files Improved Tracking (24293), Survival row 1, raises all damage to the creature type you are tracking by 1-5% (tooltip). Monster Slaying and Humanoid Slaying, two Classic row 1 talents, are gone from the tree.
- Matches the files
Entrapment: (Slight redesign.) Now always triggers when the Hunter’s trap triggers, but the duration is increased by more talent points instead of the chance.
The files Entrapment (19184) now roots every target your traps hit for 1/2/3/4/5 sec (tooltip; talent curve 1000-5000 ms). Classic gave a 5-25% chance of a 5 sec root on three trap types.
- Partly
Savage Strikes: (Redesigned.) Now increases all melee damage by 2/4% instead of Raptor Strike and Mongoose Bite by 10/20%.
The files The scope and numbers match, 2/4% on all melee abilities in 70245 where Classic gave Raptor Strike and Mongoose Bite 10/20%. Both versions raise critical strike chance (spell modifier 7) rather than damage, so 'all melee damage' is wrong.
- Matches the files
Survivalist: Moved from row 3 up to row 2.
The files Survivalist (19255) is Survival row 2 in 70245 and was row 3 in Classic Era, still 2-10% Health.
- Matches the files
Improved Wing Clip: Now only takes 3 talent points to reach maximum 20% chance.
The files Improved Wing Clip (19228) has 3 ranks at 7/13/20% (talent curve); Classic needed 5 ranks to reach 20%.
- Matches the files
Surefooted: Moved from row 4 up to row 3. Hit chance now applies to all attacks, and reduces the duration of movement impairing effects, instead of increasing their chance to miss the Hunter.
The files Surefooted (19290) moved from row 4 to row 3. It raises melee and ranged hit (aura 54) and spell hit (aura 55) by 1-3% and cuts movement-impairing durations by 10/20/30% (aura 232); Classic had melee and ranged hit plus a 5-15% resist chance.
- Matches the files
Survival Tactics: (Formerly Trap Mastery.) Now also increases the chance for Feign Death to hit, in addition to Traps.
The files Survival Tactics (19376, Trap Mastery in Classic) raises your chance to hit with Trap and Feign Death abilities by 5/10% (tooltip); Classic covered traps only.
- Matches the files
Predator’s Edge: (New talent.) Increases melee critical strike damage bonus, and increases damage done by off-hand while dual-wielding.
The files Predator's Edge (1310627), Survival row 4, adds 6-30% melee crit damage and 10-50% Off Hand weapon damage (tooltip and talent curves).
- Matches the files
Counterattack: Moved from row 5 up to row 4. Now the 16-point gold medal talent.
The files Counterattack (19306) is Survival row 4 in 70245, so it is the 16th point; Classic had it in row 5.
- Matches the files
Resourcefulness: (New talent.) Reduces the mana cost of all Traps and melee abilities and grants your critical strikes a chance to allow Mana regeneration from Spirit while casting spells.
The files Resourcefulness (440529), Survival row 5, cuts the mana cost of Traps and melee abilities by 30/60%, and crits have a 50/100% chance to let 50% of mana regeneration continue while casting for 30 sec (tooltip).
- Matches the files
Expose Prey: (New talent.) Melee and ranged attacks on the target of your Hunter’s Mark have a chance to activate Mongoose Bite as if you had Dodged an attack.
The files Expose Prey (1310532), Survival row 5: attacks on a target with your Hunter's Mark have a 5/10% chance to activate Mongoose Bite for 5 sec (tooltip).
- Matches the files
Survivalist’s Discipline: (New talent.) Reduces the cooldown of Traps and Deterrence.
The files Survivalist's Discipline (1310496), Survival row 5, cuts the cooldown of Traps and Deterrence by 20/40% (tooltip; its class mask covers the traps and Deterrence).
- Matches the files
Strider Kick: New 21-point gold medal talent. An instant weapon damage attack that also increases your movement speed by 30% for 3 sec.
The files Strider Kick (1317257) is Survival row 5, the 21st point: 100% melee weapon damage and +30% movement speed for 3 sec, 8 sec cooldown. The speed effect was added in build 70009.
- Matches the files
Lightning Reflexes: Agility bonus decreased to make room for new talent powers.
The files The live Survival row 6 node for Lightning Reflexes (node 110859) uses a curve of +2/4/6/8/10% Agility, down from Classic's 3/6/9/12/15%. The spell's default tooltip still renders 3-15% from a second definition that sits on a hidden off-grid node (104982).
- Matches the files
Lacerating Strikes: New 31-point gold medal talent. Mongoose Bite now also causes the target to Bleed over 21 seconds for damage based on the strength of the Mongoose Bite hit.
The files Lacerating Strikes (1310533), Survival row 7: Mongoose Bite also makes the target Bleed for 40% of its damage over 21 sec (tooltip).
Base Class Abilities
- No claim to check
Shapeshifting:
The files A section heading with nothing to check.
- Matches the files
All potions and almost all similar consumables are now useable while shapeshifted and do not cancel the Druid’s shapeshift. Rage potions and Thistletea are also now usable by Druids.
The files Every Druid form gained the 'can use items' flag (SpellShapeshiftForm flags 0xD8 in 70245; Classic 0x50, Cat 0x70). Rage, Great Rage and Mighty Rage Potion now allow Warriors and Druids (class mask 1025, Classic 1), and Thistle Tea allows Rogues and Druids (1032, Classic 8).
- Matches the files
One notable exception is Engineering bombs. Most cannot be used still, but some specific new recipes can be used while shapeshifted. See the SAF-T and EZ-Thro recipes.
The files Classic bombs keep the 'not while shapeshifted' flag in 70245 (Iron Grenade, Flash Bomb, M73 Frag Grenade, Dense Dynamite). The new SAF-T and EZ-Thro bombs, such as SAF-T Dynamite (1269155) and EZ-Thro Grenade (1269270), don't have it.
- Not in the files
Weapon enchantments and procs now all work while shapeshifted, including effects like weightstones, Crusader enchant, and Windfury Totem.
The files Weapon procs are run by the server. The client form table still carries Classic's 'don't use weapon' flag (0x10) on Cat, Bear and Dire Bear Form, so the files show no sign of this change.
- Not in the files
While Shapeshifted, the Druid’s melee auto attack DPS (Damage Per Second) while in Bear Form, Cat Form, or Dire Bear Form is now the same as the DPS of the Druid’s equipped weapon. But the speed of attack is changed to 1.0 or 2.5 seconds, depending on the form. Abilities that deal weapon damage likewise use these damage values.
The files Form melee damage is computed by the server, so the weapon-DPS rule can't be read. The client attack speeds are 1.0 sec for Cat Form and 2.5 sec for Bear and Dire Bear Form (SpellShapeshiftForm), the same as Classic.
- Matches the files
Most doors and objects can be opened and interacted with while shapeshifted without cancelling the Druid’s shapeshift.
The files 28 of the 43 Opening spells that had the 'not while shapeshifted' flag in Classic Era lost it, including Opening (3365), Opening - No Text (22810) and Opening Bar Door (15276); the other 15 keep it.
- Matches the files
Racial abilities: Now usable while shapeshifted. This includes Shadowmeld, War Stomp, and Walk on Air.
The files Shadowmeld (20580) and War Stomp (20549) lost the 'not while shapeshifted' flag they had in Classic Era, and Walk on Air (1259416) doesn't have it (spell attributes).
- Matches the files
Tiger’s Fury: (Removed.) This has been replaced with a new Feral-specific talent called Shifting Power.
The files Tiger's Fury rank 1 (5217) is set to never be learned (AcquireMethod 3), and ranks 2 to 4 have no spell records in 70245. In build 70170 the talent definition that held King of the Jungle (417046) became Shifting Power (1322605).
Feral
- Partly
Claw: Damage increased significantly to avoid the need for a new talented Combo builder to replace it.
The files Claw gained a 110% weapon damage multiplier where Classic Claw was normal weapon damage plus a flat bonus; the flat bonus is unchanged (27 at rank 1, 115 at rank 5). That is a modest raise in the files; anything bigger would come from the server-side form damage change.
- Matches the files
Cower: Threat reduction effect doubled.
The files Druid Cower's threat reduction doubled on every rank: 240, 390 and 600 in Classic, 480, 780 and 1200 in 70245 (effect values).
- Partly
Demoralizing Roar: Now tuned to be approximately as effective as Demoralizing Shout, and identical to Demoralizing Shout at level 60.
The files At level 60, rank 5 Demoralizing Roar (9898) and rank 5 Demoralizing Shout (11556) both cut melee Attack Power by 204 (Classic 138 and 146), and both scale 1.4 per level. Roar still lasts 30 sec against Shout's 45 sec, so they aren't identical.
- Matches the files
Enrage: Now generates 10 initial Rage.
The files Druid Enrage (5229) has a new instant 10 Rage (effect value 100, Rage is stored x10) on top of 20 Rage over 10 sec (tooltip). Classic gave no instant Rage.
- Matches the files
Frenzied Regeneration: Now heals the Druid for 100% of max health over the duration (given sufficient Rage).
The files Frenzied Regeneration (22842) converts up to 10 Rage per second for 10 sec at 1% health per Rage point, so 100 Rage heals 100% (tooltip). Classic gave 10 health per Rage point.
- Matches the files
Growl: Cooldown decreased to match Warrior Taunt cooldown.
The files Growl (6795) and Taunt (355) both have an 8 sec cooldown in 70245; both were 10 sec in Classic (SpellCooldowns).
- Matches the files
Lacerate: This new baseline ability is now added at level 42. It applies a Bleed on the target dealing damage over 15 seconds and stacks up to 5 times. In addition, if the target is already afflicted by Lacerate, this ability deals 10% weapon damage per existing stack. Generates high Threat.
The files Lacerate rank 1 (414644) is a Druid spell at level 42: Bear and Dire Bear only, 15 Rage, a Bleed over 15 sec that stacks 5 times, plus 10% weapon damage per existing stack and high threat (tooltip and aura options).
- Not in the files
Rake: Now gains increased damage from Attack Power.
The files Rake has no Attack Power coefficient in either client, so the scaling is server-side. The base numbers rose a little: rank 4 is 58 plus 96 over 9 sec in Classic, 61 plus 102 in 70245.
- Doesn't match
Shred: Damage increased significantly to need less talent support to be effective.
The files Shred's weapon damage multiplier went down, 225% in Classic to 155% in 70245 on every rank, with the flat bonus unchanged (180 at rank 5). Nothing in the files raises it; a net gain could only come from the server-side change to form damage.
- Not in the files
Swipe: Now gains increased damage from Attack Power. Still only usable in Bear Form and Dire Bear Form and strikes 3 targets.
The files Swipe has no Attack Power coefficient in the client (83 damage at rank 5 in both), so the scaling is server-side. Bear and Dire Bear only (shapeshift mask 144) and 3 targets both match.

The files Barkskin (22812) lost the 'not while shapeshifted' flag and its Classic shapeshift row.

The files Faerie Fire can be cast in Cat, Bear, Dire Bear and Moonkin Form in 70245 (shapeshift mask 0x40000091; Classic allowed Moonkin only). The client still lists the full mana cost (115 at rank 4) and no cooldown, so the free in-form cast and the 6 sec cooldown aren't in the files.

The files Nature's Grasp is a Druid spell from level 10 (rank 1, 16689) with 6 ranks; in Classic it was a Balance talent. The 'not while shapeshifted' and outdoors-only flags are gone, and the tooltip says 'Castable while shapeshifted'.

Furor: Cat Form portion of this redesigned. Conceptually, at 5 talent points it allows the Druid to regenerate Energy while not in Cat Form as if they were in Cat Form. But if they go to Bear Form, all that Energy is lost, to prevent “bear-weaving” gameplay we have seen in versions of Classic World of Warcraft. We realize this removed the “power shifting” gameplay some players prize, so we have re-added that gameplay in a much more approachable way with the Shifting Power talent in the Feral talent tree.
The files The tooltip matches the Cat part: at 5/5 you get back 100% of your last Cat Form Energy plus 10 Energy per second spent outside Bear, Cat and Dire Bear Form, up to 100. It doesn't say that Bear Form wipes the stored Energy, and both effects are server-scripted dummies.
